Clean Water for 120 Students at San Miguel Rural School
The Problem
San Miguel is a small rural community in Oaxaca, Mexico, where access to clean and reliable water is limited. The local primary school serves more than 120 children, but the school currently relies on irregular water deliveries and manual water transport.
Without a proper water storage system, students and teachers often struggle with basic needs such as drinking water, hand washing, and food preparation. This affects hygiene, health, and the overall learning environment.
Our Solution
This project will install a large community water storage tank and distribution taps for the school.
The system will collect and store clean water so that students and staff can access it safely every day. The installation will include:
A high-capacity water tank
A concrete base and secure installation
Multiple water taps for daily use
Basic training for school staff on maintenance
This simple infrastructure solution will ensure that water is available throughout the school day.
Expected Impact
With this project we will:
Provide reliable water access to more than 120 students
Improve school hygiene and sanitation
Reduce the time teachers and families spend transporting water
Support a healthier learning environment for the entire community
Transparent Use of Funds
Funds raised through KindFi will be released in milestone-based stages to ensure transparency and accountability.
Milestones include:
Purchase of the water tank and materials
Installation and construction of the water system
Community training and final verification
Each stage will be documented with photos, receipts, and progress reports to ensure donors can clearly see the impact of their contributions.
